Plans are underway for an exciting new event at Chateau Elan.  This November, the Vineyard Run for Hope will replace the traditional holiday home tour as the community’s annual fundraiser to support the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter.  Over the past eight years, the Chateau Élan community has welcomed thousands of visitors and raised over $1,000,000 for this very special charity.

On November 20, 2010, the Vineyard Run for Hope will host a 10K, 5K and 1K Tot Trot starting and ending at the beautiful Chateau Élan Winery. The 10K and 5K participants will travel a picturesque course through the resort and into the gates of the Chateau Élan neighborhood.  Along the way, participants will enjoy fabulous views of the vineyards, stables, golf courses and estate homes.  Chateau Élan is home to many athletes and fitness enthusiasts eager to welcome runners from all over Georgia to Braselton.

Entry fees are discounted for pre-registrations, and runners can register at participating local businesses or online here at vineyardrunforhope.com.  All proceeds will benefit the Gwinnett Children’s Shelter.  The Shelter, which annually serves more than 200 young people residentially, grew out of a volunteer effort involving PTA, business and community leaders who recognized a need for services for abused and abandoned children. The Shelter depends on community donations to provide these services, and the annual Chateau Élan event has been their largest fundraiser for several years.
